Meet the Medics' Welfare team!

Megan Dixon

Hi, I'm Megan, I'm 21 and I'm the Vice President and Secretary of Medics' Welfare.  I'm in the fourth year of the 5 year course and I also started uni straight from school, it's a big change, but you'll meet lots of amazing people and have a great time along the way.

During my first year, I couldn't have lived without the internet, great for catching up with old friends and Facebook stalking new ones!

It's important to have a work-life balance at medical school but the range of societies and events means you'll never be short of things to do!  Let me know if you have any problems or questions, my email is md333 :)

You can contact us via the details here, though if you'd like to speak to one of us individually, you can do so via the email addresses given.

Hi :) I'm Melissa, I'm 23 and I'm the President of Medics' Welfare!
I'm in my fourth year of the 5 year course, and I came to uni straight from school.
In my first year I couldn't live without Netflix! Perfect for binge watching my favourites :)
Medical School can be great, you'll have so many interesting experiences and meet lots of new friends! But the course can come with a bit of stress! I'm always happy to hear from anyone if you have any problems or questions, email: MLW24

Halo! I’m Amy, I’m the treasurer of Medics’ Welfare =) I’m currently in my fourth year of the 5 year course.

Aside from medicine, I love making art works, playing board games and puzzles, of course there’s also Netflix that keeps me going! The med school can be overwhelming and scary sometimes, but we’ve got lots of student support groups and societies (just like us =P)!

Don’t ever feel like you’re alone and others can’t understand your struggles. Trust me, most of us have been through a lot, and we are here share our experience and listen to you! Email me at pjk15

Hello! I'm Amy, and I'm the phase 2 rep for Medics' welfare. I'm in my fourth year of the 5 year course at the moment!

Medical school is lots of fun and very busy, so it's important to make sure you take time to yourself - whether its sports, hobbies or just relaxing! There's lots of choices of sports and societies to get involved in, definitely something for everybody!

I'm always happy to have a chat if you have any problems, questions or stresses! If you would like to get in touch email aeb28 :)

Hi, I'm Ellie and I'm the Medics' welfare publicity officer! I'm 21 and in my third year :)

I love playing medic sports and getting involved with lots of societies - it's a great way to make new friends and let off some steam. Medicine is great but can be a very stressful course, so it's great to keep up with hobbies that allow you to relax!

I'm always happy to lend an ear to any problems you face, chances are someone else has faced them before and will be happy to offer support. Email me at efg5
